It all begins with an idea and a challenge.
Every project begins with a spark of an idea. Sometimes, inspiration comes from unexpected places — like video games, YouTube videos, or even the timeless humor of classic cartoons. For this project, it was the playful spirit of Looney Tunes. That and the bonus of the added stipulation we had about an hour to complete everything, my creative process was put to the test, setting the tone for a project that brings animation-inspired energy to life.
The Unofficial Music video
Sometimes, you see something and think, 'Can I make it even better?' That’s exactly how I felt with Imagine Dragons’ Believer music video. This project is my personal reimagining — a fresh take that brings my unique vision to life
Full Sail University Projects
Throughout my time at Full Sail, I tackled several challenging projects, some of which are showcased here. Each one pushed my skills and creativity, helping me evolve as a creator and refine my craft to a new level.
M.B.S.Y.E.P
In the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to work with the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program, hosted by H Street Main Street. As one of my first professional roles as a video editor, I aimed to make a strong impact, gaining valuable footage and experience along the way.
Some Projects Are More Personal Than Others
While at Full Sail, I faced significant financial challenges, which inspired me when it was time to create this short story-based project. I chose to tell a deeply personal story about a small streamer struggling with debt, questioning whether to keep streaming as it’s the one thing bringing joy amidst the hardship. This video serves as the launchpad for a much larger project, blending personal reality with storytelling. It isn’t the most visually spectacular project I made but it is one of my favorites.
Not Everything Has To Be Big
Sometimes, a small project is exactly what you need. Whether it’s to practice a new skill or simply to create for fun, these bite-sized projects keep the creativity flowing and build valuable experience along the way.
The hardest project I’ve done, but it’s a game video?!
For this video I spoke about one of my favorite games, Left 4 Dead 2. In this video I described the game, it’s story and a challenge I failed to complete with friends. This video is only roughly 20 minutes long however this video took the longest, and most effort into creating. 4 weeks of editing, 5 different versions, experimental editing style I hardly ever used or tried, and so much more.
The reason I make videos.
After months of low motivation and no interests in making videos I decided maybe I just make one for fun. During my break from live streaming on Twitch I noticed I have so many unused clips from past streams. Lethal Company, the game that I’m playing in video, is still a popular game. That with the bonus of me having so man clips from my streams I decided to make a video. I wanted to experiment and improve my video editing style to fit what current Youtube audiences enjoy. That being story time gaming videos. I wanted to add my own spin to the style, combining older trends from early Youtube gaming videos to the now status quo. In the end this is how the video turned out.
Sometimes you just have to speak your mind.
Have you ever just wanted to speak what’s on your mind, unfiltered without holding back? That’s what I do in this short down below. When I made this video it was during a time when no matter how many times I explained that I’ve tried to get a job I always got denied, then I’m told to go get a job anyway. This video if fueled by months of annoyance, and anger of the fact that getting a job is hard for me for some reason.
